As soon as your specific package is ready, it will be sent to the e-mail address you provided when purchasing your order.
If you know of a hail or wind occurrence that isn’t listed, you can always contact Roof Alert and initiate a Hail or Wind Inquiry for a specific area and date. Roof Alert will run an inquiry and notify you of our findings. If we cannot confirm the occurrence of hail or wind, based upon the information you provided, there is a nominal charge of $99 for our search.
If Roof Alert determines that hail or wind was possible in the area you requested, you can order the appropriate package with no inquiry charge.
Though algorithm-based products are usually available within 24 hours of a possible hail or wind occurrence, Roof Alert cannot generate any Real-Time Hail or wind products until 96 hours after the hail or wind event. This delay is due to the National Weather Service policy of posting quality-controlled NEXRAD data 72 to 96 hours after any given date.
This NWS policy assures that the NEXRAD data posted has been checked for errors, anomalies and/or omission of data. There are “blind spots” scattered across the United States with minimal or no NEXRAD coverage.
With Real-Time Hail or Wind, you can see the real-time extent of the hail or wind coverage area and with the associated KMZ file, the user can zoom down to the street level to determine which streets were affected by the hail or wind event.
